By default, IP.Board shows the topics/posts from all forums when the user uses the search. Using this hook, you will give the user the option to select which forums he wants to see in searchs results (VIEW NEW CONTENT, USER CONTENT and REGULAR SEARCH), directly on User Control Panel. It's very nice to be used on forums with many categories/forums. This hook will give more control to board's administrator in birthday listing (board index sidebar hook and calendar). Now admin can: Choose if wants to show member's age in birthday list Choose which user groups can appear in birthday list Specify the limit (in days) to prevent inactive members (based in member's last activity) from being listed in birthday list Notice: Birthday list in board index sidebar hook is based on Calendar cache. So if even after you change the settings and no change is noted on board index, visit the System tab in your Admin CP and then go to Cache Management. Click in Calendar tab and then click in Recache Cache in birthday line. This simple hook blocks users from registering if they have records on stopforumspam.com. This is an alternative hook to JGrucza's Forum Spammer IP & Email Check via stopforumspam . There are some differences between the two. First mainly being it can use cURL if allow_url_fopen is disabled. Secondly, I needed a whitelist... so that is included. If you combine this hook with registration Q&A challenges and the IPS Spam Service, it will give spammers a hard time. If your host doesn't have cURL installed, this hook will not work. Features: Enable/Disable Hook Whitelist IP/Email. Works with cURL if you have allow_url_fopen disabled. Email block reports. Select match type (IP Address, Email Address, Either of them or both of them) Change the message shown to the blocked user.
