[Resolved] Google Search Setup

I'm trying to set up the Google Search on my site. I've created my Site Search via Google Adsense but i'm not sure which code I paste into the Google Ads settings for my site. Any advice on how I should be setting up Google Adsense Search and my product would be great.

Alright, from the ACP Google settings, scroll down to the Google Search Settings. And from the Google site, it should give you two sets of code, one for the Google Search box and the other for your results page (if you chose an external results page). For the code that gives you the search box, you'd insert that in that ACP setting for search.

 

Basic Search Code:

Also, please remember, when re-updating your Google Settings page to fix the above code as it changes every time when updating. The part that changes is the "&" in the script URL. It parses it to the "&" symbol, which fine, but when editing it again will parse it to a foreign symbol. Just make sure it to keep it at the "&", which is the HTML code for "&".

Thanks for that. I've done that but the search box doesn't show.

 

Also, the page i've set Google to show is set to: http://www.burnleyweb.com/index.php/google-search

 

So it looks like this in the code:

Is that right or should I just have it open a new window?

Tried code for opening a new window, still no search box shows. I know it's me somewhere!

I never created a search page as I thought the app did that, lol

 

If you register, I'll set you as admin once I'm back on my PC (Using phone atm)

OK, I checked your site, and from the url you set Google to show the results on is invalid. You need to create a page to show the results on. To me, the url you selected is pointing to a page created in IP.Content. You can create a page called google-search.html and upload to your site and change the url to http://www.burnleyweb.com/google-search.html.
