Can I ask you to check the do******entation in the last release .zip ? Maybe there is a problem with the code to insert.

 

I've tried to recache all my template, to check the configuration directly in the database, but there are no ad inserted after my first post. The code isn't even writtent in the source code of the displayed page.

 

I give you my forum url in case : http://www.radios-fr.com Maybe you can have a look at it and check the problem.

 

My last hit is to think that the "Yes, display the first post ad" isn't correctly updated in the database when changed in the config. But I have no idea to check that.

I just registered on your forums, and the ads are showing up, but they only show up in Linear+. I am trying to figure out a solution to fix this problem. Try switching your settings to Linear+ and the check a topic. But until I can find a better solution, they will only show up in Linear+.

Yes, exactly, I meant in the topic posting screen. Because this page is a high displayed page on a forum, it's a really good place to put ads on it. And, of course, if you are able to do it on all the IP Modules it can be great ! (I don't personally use those one but I suppose for other users)

Sure thing man. I try to add whatever it is the customer wants in a mod that helps suit them, and plus for other members who may like the same feature. And I'll add that topic posting screen to the next version. How would you want it to be displayed though? At the top of the page?

hi, it would be nice to set ads color in separate. because i want another bg color in sidebar, another in topicview, another in blog, ...

 

and maybe problem :

 

1. if i have in acp set only Image ads, this ads don't show in search and in board index bottom

2. if i have in acp set text & image ads, it shows in search only text, in sidebar only text and in index bottom only image, in post reply don't show

3. i have in adsene image ads, if i set in acp only image in fast reply, and under first post don't show image, if i in acp change to text, ads show without problem

 

--- It is big problem to show only image in ads --- if i set only text, everything works fine

 

Suggestion : it would be nice to set in which ads you want (in this ad only text, in this text, this only image, this text & image)

Image ads have never been flawless to work perfectly. Image ads just never show up properly. And as for the certain colors, that is possible, it just requires you to edit the skin templates for those sections. Just edit these skin templates and replace the color settings with what you want.

and with image, maybe it is problem with adsense, must wait few days, maybe then it will show ok

 

because sometimes image show, but in search don't work, there work only text, i haven't in search image, don't know why

Yes, it is possible to change the title of the mod. And yes, you can use other Advert Companies within this mod. If purchasing and when you set it up, just paste your Advert Code within the Yahoo! or WidgetBucks settings. Your advert should then appear without problems.

can you add ads unit generation in your mod

 

:Thinking:

in your ACP button named "generate ads block" if you press it page like wizard will guide you to generate ads

with basic info like

• ads unit name
  
• your code html,javasecript,php,text
  
• submit button
  

 

if you press the submit button a pares code will be generated like in ip.content something like this

{parse block="ads_unit_1"} if you post that to any skin your ads will work

this will make your mod more flexible and not only specific to some area

That would require designing a whole new application add-on, completely rewritten. And I don't know much about php to try something like that yet.

OK, I got my $15 back on the first day of usage. From only one adspot, the "inside first post" ad placement.

Perfect...!

 

BUT I do have one small request.

 

Would it be possible to have the "Inside first post" show up in the first post on every page, even in multi page-threads?

 

As it is today, only post #1 has the ad. On the second page (say post #16) does not have an ad.

Would it be possible to ads this feature in a future release?

Yes, that is a feature I am currently working on. This feature will require a template bit edit. The edit will be in the same place as a previous edit. I would like to not have template bit edits though, but that is not possible. I know some people have complained to me about there "being too many edits". In which there really isn't, unless you have like 10 - 15 skins installed, then yes there is a lot to do. But the skin edits are required for proper forums distinction. I will hopefully try to get a release out here soon, once IP.Gallery 2.1 is final, probably about 2 weeks after final. This release will also be a maintenance release for IP.Blog and IP.Downloads.
