Will this work in 3.1.1? If not, are you going to be making one for that version? The IPB one seems very basic.

Yes, I will be updating this for 3.1.x. Since IPB 3.1 has some major changes in it, I'll need to edit some files in my mod to accommodate for those changes.

I have made some progress on the mod for additional places on third party apps, but I can do some additional places on IPB locations. Which locations were you thinking of?

It has almost all locations I would want.

 

But, if you have time, would be glad if you could add an option to display ads after every 3rd, 5th, (set by admin) ... post. It currently only allows ads before, after first post, and inside first post, if I'm not mistaken.

 

 

Also, if you can, edit free mod would be awesome (if template edit is NOT a must :) )

Yes, the new version (2.0.0) will support ads after a certain amount of posts set by the Admin.

At the moment, it does not incorporate the Rotating Banners mod, but at some point or another, the two mods will be combined into one. I haven't had much time lately to work on my mods. I've been busy with this new job, not getting enough sleep, and getting with this new girl.

 

And yes, at this time, the mod does work with 3.1.2. It will need a maintenance release to match the new versions, but it will not cause any problems public side wise.

It looks like the default embedded Ad support in IPB 3 killed this mod (?).

 

Would appreciate your take on what would be the future for this mod, so that I can position my site/support around either yours or default IPB Ad support.

You are damn good! I know we do not see eye to eye on alot of subjects but you are one of the best coders out there for IPS and supporting your apps.

 

Invision has to code for the Macro environment while you can focus on one small factor or addition and do it better. From my initiial looks at the beta that looks exactly like what you have done once again.

 

I will try and get you some more feedback this weekend once I get everything upgraded and edited. I had some personal problems so I am my self trying to get back into a hobby site and force my way back to the top.

Yeap. I've been trying to get back to the chair as much I could, but I've been busy at work a lot lately. So I finally found a few extra hours to work on the mod and improve the AdminCP home page with more info such as the Version checker and News areas.

A tad worrying that the last post on this topic was in Jan 2011, but anyway...

 

Bought and installed on IPB 3.3.1

 

"Error: Could not load template 'hookTopicGlobalAds2' from group 'ng30globalads'"

 

Fixed the above, but using Ads below first topic and wrapper switched on, there is inline CSS that sets user/group to "Ad Bots" with text in cyan. I just want to change the awful cyan colour. Where do I do this?
