How can we move the advert in the header across to the right?

 

Currently on a 1024x768 display it is in the middle and partially over our logo.

Which version of the mod are you using? The v1.5.0? If so, go to ACP -> Look & Feel -> Select Skin -> skin_ng30globalads -> hookGlobalGlobalAds* Where * is a number from 1 - 3 at the end of the template bit name. If your using Google Ads, use number 1, then find this line:

<div style="position:absolute;right:325px;top:8px">

 

And change the right:325px; to a smaller number; that'll make it go the right. Changing it to a higher number goes to the left. And remember to not remove the px. px stands for pixels. And don't change the position:absolute;. And if you need to adjust it from the top, change the top:8px; as well; a smaller number goes up, and a larger number goes down.

I installed the 1.5.0 on my IPB 3.0.5 forum (www.alltomxp.se/forum) but now I no longer have any ads in the topicview. I see ads everywhere else, board index, topic sub-index etc.

 

Ad location 1, 2 and 3 are on and I have selected all forums in the lsit above the ad location setting but nothing shows. How can I make this work? Thanks in advance!

I did not do anything with the skin edits, although in my quest for a solution to this i have reverted topicView to the default :/

When I upgrade from 1.4.1 to 1.5.0 - after I unistall the old version will the data be lost? Or will it still be there after the installation of the new version?

No. Everything from the v1.4.1 version will be removed. The reason for the uninstallation for v1.4.1 is so that, incase you do uninstall the application later on, that it removes everything. For example, if don't uninstall the hook version of the mod, and just install the application instead with the old hook still there, and then you remove the application, the templates and settings groups will still there after uninstallation and therefore cannot be removed later on because the hook version was never removed. So that is why the uninstallation of the hook version is required before installing the application version.

 

And if your using Firefox, and you have the settings option to store form fields, it'll make it easier to re-add your ad slot #'s, pub id back ect.

Besides changing the system from a hook to an application, are there any other features in 1.5.0 over 1.4.1? I want to plan the upgrade appropriately since my board is currently at peak season - and I don't want to disrupt anything if not necessary.

 

Does 1.5.0 fix the in-post ads? Right now it is only in the first post of each topic and doesn't re-occur incrementally.

No, the ads do not re-occur incrementally because that feature does not yet work at the moment. It may be available when IP.Board 3.1 is released and I have some time to mess around with it. And the new features in 1.5.0 are listed in the first post of the support topic.

Just look below the ads on this site and you'll see this: "Subscribe Today To Remove These Advertisements." That is the new feature in 1.5.0. It goes beneath every ad in the mod.

OK, first off, I want to point out that I have not seen you download any version from my site. All you downloaded is the single encoded file that allows your site to function. Other than that, the full version of 1.6.0 or earlier has not been downloaded by you. I sent you a message about this at IPS. So I do not know where you got the mod from. And I don't mean to be rude about it, I'm just saying. I just want to know how you acquired the mod if it has not been downloaded by you from the Client Center.

 

And just for my records, I have screen capped the downloaders from v1.4.1 upto 1.6.0.

Hello,

 

I have a problem with DB customization manager and global ads.

 

Think something is forgotten in global ads

 

when trying to use DB customization, i obtain this error

 

Could not find Setup directory for the '(NG30) Global Ads' application

 

If removing completly global ads, DB custom works properly.
