Note that this hook is compatible with IP.Board 3.1.4+ only. By default, when a post is parsed, the bbcode and emoticons are swapped out prior to the bad word filter swapping out text. That meant that any bbcode or emoticons in your bad word filter replacement text would not parse. With this hook, the bad words are swapped out first, so that any replacement text you set will have its bbcode and emoticons parse as well. View the full article IPS Resources
